Crabby Games is a UK-based independent game studio built on a shared love of making games that people genuinely enjoy playing.
We're a small team of developers who believe games should be fun above everything else. Whether we're creating ridiculous retail battles, atmospheric horror experiences or experimenting with entirely new ideas, our goal is always the same: make something we'd want to play ourselves.
We aren't trying to chase trends or make cinematic blockbusters. We want to create games that are imaginative, entertaining and never afraid to embrace a little chaos.
When we're designing our games, we first ask ourselves if the idea is fun, if not then we'll go back to the drawing board!
Like any small studio we want our games to leave an impact on the players. If we don't think something is going to be memorable then we make it crazier!
As we're a small studio we have to spend a lot of time making these games, so it's important to us that we enjoy making them.
Lead 3D Artist & Technical Artist
Josh is responsible for creating the visual identity of Crabby Games. From modelling environments and props to texturing, materials and visual effects, he transforms ideas into colourful, memorable worlds.
Working primarily with Autodesk Maya, Substance Painter and Unreal Engine, Josh enjoys experimenting with new techniques and continually refining his craft. Whether he's creating a detailed environment or adding the final polish to an effect, his focus is always on making the world feel alive and fun to explore.

Gameplay Programmer & 3D Animator
Leigh combines gameplay programming with 3D animation, giving Crabby Games both responsive mechanics and expressive characters. She develops gameplay systems, player mechanics and AI while also creating the animations that bring the team's ideas to life.
Working in Unreal Engine, Leigh enjoys tackling technical challenges just as much as the creative side of development. Every project is an opportunity to learn something new, whether that's refining gameplay systems or improving animation workflows.
Favourite Game: Lands of Lore III
Game Designer, Programmer & UI Designer
Tom helps shape the creative vision of Crabby Games, combining game design, gameplay programming and UI design to create experiences that are fun, intuitive and full of personality.
Alongside developing gameplay systems in Unreal Engine, Tom creates the studio's user interfaces, concept artwork and marketing content, helping ensure every aspect of a project presents a consistent identity. With a background in games design and education, he enjoys balancing creativity with clear, player-focused design.
Favourite Game: Assassin's Creed II
Crabby Games is a fully remote independent studio. While we may not share an office, we work closely together to design, build and polish our games.
Being remote gives us the freedom to focus on what matters most: creating the games we'd genuinely want to play ourselves.
